However, the financial aspect of any deal between Freeman and the MLB club is quite complicated. The Braves are well aware of the market value of their first baseman, and so is Freeman. But they might not be willing to grant the money and duration Freeman would want in his new contract.

How much is Freeman demanding from the Braves?

As per MLB Trade Rumors’ Tim Dierkes, the Braves are currently offering Freeman a five-year contract for $135 million, while Freeman is demanding a longer contract with more money; around $200 million for six years.
However, the MLBTR has projected that the first baseman will ultimately land at the Braves with a six-year deal for around $180 million. For a player who has been playing for over 10 years for a single franchise in MLB, it’ll be difficult to fit in a different team.
