21-year-old American snowboarder Chloe Kim created history today at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. Kim won her second Gold Medal at the women’s halfpipe event.

In fact, she became the first woman snowboarder to win the gold at two consecutive Olympics. The only other person to have achieved that in this event is American snowboarder, Shaun White.

Chloe had a staggering first run today, which raised her margin extremely high, and the Gold became certain. Now, at the end of the day, Kim has taken to Instagram to thank everybody for their love and praise.

Olympic gold victory still hasn’t hit Chloe Kim yet

After her phenomenal victory in the women’s halfpipe event at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, Chloe Kim has finally taken the time to reflect on her day.

Taking to Instagram, the 2-time Olympic Gold medalist posted a string of photos of herself. The first picture was of herself in her snowboarding gear. Then, the second was Chloe Kim wrapping the American flag around her, and the third was of her holding up the Gold medal at the Olympics ceremony.

“Today was insane!” Chloe Kim wrote in her Instagram post’s caption. Then, she thanked everyone who congratulated her and supported her. “Thank you thank you thank you for all the love,” Kim expressed.

In fact, she even expressed how the weight of her incredible achievement was yet to register fully. “It still hasn’t hit me yet,” the 21-year-old wrote.

Nevertheless, she stated how she was “so so proud to bring home another gold!!” Undoubtedly, all her teammates and countrymen, and her fans all over the world, are proud to see her achieve a second gold medal, and all by the age of twenty-one, too!

Olympians lauded Chloe for her achievement

Naturally, as the whole world watched, everyone cheering for Chloe was over the moon when she won. Fellow American snowboarder and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Shaun White, congratulated Kim through his Instagram story. “Very well deserved,” he wrote next to a picture by Team USA’s celebratory post for Kim.

Moreover, Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympian of all time, too, congratulated Kim for her victory. “Congrats!!!” he wrote, reposting a victorious photograph of Chloe in the snow, which the official Olympics page posted.

Furthermore, even two-time Olympic gold medalist, Gabrielle Thomas, took to Twitter to appreciate Chloe and her greatness. She even referred to Kim’s self-professed love for churros, joking that she might have to start binging on the snack too before her competitions.

Clearly, greatness recognizes greatness and appreciates it. Not only was it amazing to see 21-year-old Kim write history on the biggest stage in world sports, but it was also heartwarming to decorated Olympians congratulate and encourage her.
