Mikaela Shiffrin is disappointed with the outcome
It is rare to see an illustrious skier go out quickly for her signature events. She sat down after the slalom competition while her coach came out to help her through her shock. Talking to the media is a hard thing to do, as she could not believe what happened. She opened up about what she felt during the competition.
“Actually, the safest way to ski is that aggressive because your whole mind and body, you are alert enough, you are ready to take on what challenges are there. But there’s no space. You can’t come back [at] the next point.”
