Yuzuru Hanyu would have withdrawn if it wasn’t Olympics

His love for the Olympics and figure skating is well evident from the fact that he values it more than his injury. Going into the finals, Yuzuru had sprained his leg, and he was in serious pain.

Even with a serious injury, the champion performed the most difficult figure skating jump, nearly to perfection. By performing this courageous deed, the legend has set an example for every athlete to follow. “The Olympics is a special place, one of a kind. It’s a competition, a challenge, that you want to take on even if you’re hurt. I would have withdrawn if it wasn’t Olympics,” said Hanyu.
