Appearing in her sixth Paralympics competition, she once again showed how supremely talented she is. While she takes part in rowing competitions at the Summer Paralympics, biathlon is her event for the Winter Paralympics. After shooting well and skiing to the finish line, she finished with a time of 20:51.2, to win the gold medal. Finishing around 15 seconds ahead of second-placed Yilin Shan, her performance left her speechless. A brilliant post-race interview followed as she took some advice from her mother during the competition.

“I’m speechless. I have no idea what to think right now and obviously don’t think it’s hit me. Can’t believe what has happened and can’t believe I queened. Oh my god! I was so nervous and my mom was like ‘while you know you just keep it the same. You have cleared every single sprint, Paralympic race, so just make sure you did this one. And I was like ‘Oh thanks mom, no pressure’. But, it actually happened,” said Masters.
