Arnold Schwarzenegger’s passion for bodybuilding is no secret. He is not just one of the greatest bodybuilders with seven Mr. Olympia wins but also an ardent promoter of the sport. A visionary himself, Arnie, with the help of the former special agent of F.B.I, Jim Lorimer, laid the inception of the “largest multi-sports festival.”

Every year fans stay all excited to attend the ‘Arnold Sports Festival.’  It is an annual event that attracts attendance far and wide. However, this year, everything’s not good!

Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be in attendance

In an official statement released by the Executive Director of the ASF, Brian Powers, it was informed that the bodybuilding legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be attending the event in person.

The post revealed that Arnold, “Very much wished to attend,” the event. However, there were certain constraints. The post read, “We were informed that financial obligations to a variety of people had not been met.”

Many Arnold fans also attend the event with a hope to see their favorite star in person. The news was, thus, disappointing to many Arnie fans. In recognition of this, it was revealed in the post that if fans want to get a refund, then they can do so by contacting their ticket provider.

The official confirmation came via two separate posts. Hours after the official statement released by ‘Powers,’ another statement was released by the Arnold Sports UK media team. They, too, expressed their disappointment with the unfortunate turn of events. They provided the update for the event by saying, “Attendance fees and escrow money were passed to us too late in the day to be able to accommodate.” 

The post also revealed that going forward, the ‘Arnold Sports Festival UK’ event will be known as “Experience With Sports Festival the UK.” However, it was not clear, whether or not the changes are immediate or will phase out from 2023.

Arnold Sports Festival UK- A brief history

The largest multi-sporting festival in the world, the event dates back to 1989. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jim Lorimer, were the founding fathers. With time the event became a sporting Festa and a haven for the best of the best athletes to compete.

The event is a celebration of fitness, health, and nutrition. Throughout the festival, the attendees get to enjoy and participate in various multi-sport competitions! Furthermore, during the event, many brands also come to exhibit their new product and launches.
