When it comes to bodybuilding, Jay Cutler needs no introduction. He is a four-time Mr. Olympia and is also a three-time Arnold Classic Champion. In an interview a couple of months ago with Michael Sartain on YouTube, Jay Cutler shared his views on food.

He’s the only person in the history of Olympia to regain his title after losing it the previous year. His disinterest in Cutler’s regarding not only a particular food but every single food is striking. It is concerning for a bodybuilder.

Jay Cutler is a retired American IFBB professional bodybuilder. Cutler had a whole confusing career before he got into bodybuilding. Well, one can say that Cutler just liked the gym environment. In the podcast, he shared his experience with food, which by the look on his face didn’t seem to be going well.

The pair, which you won’t often see together. Not only weird but also interesting as it sounds for a bodybuilder with a decorative career like Jay Cutler. He just doesn’t enjoy food.

“I’ll tell you the most disappointing part about what I did for a living,” Cutler said and continued, “I don’t enjoy food to this day like if you call me and say, Jay, there’s this wonderful restaurant opening in Las Vegas like you know we see it all the time right.”

The bodybuilding legend isn’t much of a food guy. It’s not about any kind of restaurant food or homemade food; he just doesn’t enjoy any of them.

“And you say what do you eat when you go out, and I don’t want to have steak like I’m not a big steak eater at 48 now,” Cutler said and continued, “I tend to eat some sushi, but I’m limited even on that um just because I know like a lot of sushi rice has a ton of sugar and you know I might eat some just some plain fish or whatever else.” Sushi appears to have piqued the interest of the four-time Mr. Olympia, but he was unable to consume it freely due to its high sugar content.

“There’s nothing that excites me there’s no food,” Cutler sighs. There is simply no food that can excite our legend. But how was Cutler able to manage if he didn’t like any kind of food? It is when the eggs come into play.

Eggs as a guardian angel

While having zero interest in any kind of food, Jay Cutler found his source of protein in egg whites. It also looks like he enjoyed them a lot.

When the legend was asked if he still eats 20 eggs a day, He replied, “I still have I still I drink the egg whites that’s the difference between back then to now is they didn’t have pasteurized egg whites. So now you can buy the cartons, and you can drink them and that’s actually a very good source of protein.”

Egg whites help your body maintain muscle mass and build strong muscles. With zero cholesterol, egg whites are really good for a bodybuilder’s diet.
