70-Year-Old Ripped Women Kills an Upper Body Workout in Gym

Surprising the bodybuilding circuit with her impeccably ripped body, and indomitable spirit, Texas native Renee Landers is the new talk of the down. Breaking all the stereotyped narratives, super granny Landers is now a bodybuilding star thanks to her insane workouts. Proving yet again that ‘age is just a number,’ surprisingly, Landers tried her hands at the sport, for the first time, when she was in her late 60s.

Despite being the oldest competitor by more than 20 years, Landers turned heads at her first bodybuilding competition at age 69. Donning a skimpy bikini, she successfully managed to scoop the sixth spot. Here’s looking back at the inspiring tale of Renee Landers, who is now killing it at the gym with her intense upper body workout.

Three years back, Landers could have never imagined that she would now be spending her time at the gym lifting weights and training. But life changed its course unexpectedly when she decided to try her hands at bodybuilding. Since then, there’s been no looking back. From participating in professional competitions to becoming a social media influencer, Landers is back again with her upper body workout.

Sharing her strict Monday workout session with fans back on 16th January, Landers posted a short clip of herself on her official Instagram profile. Focusing on her upper body, the 70 year old was spotted doing a variety of exercises. She shared the short clip with a cheeky caption that read, “upper body workout today! Because of my fusion, my workouts may not really look like everyone else’s… Your trainer will be guiding you.”

Dressed in her gym garment Landers was seen working out with all her passion. Time and again, she keeps sharing such videos to keep her fans motivated. While she is now aware of the bodybuilding intricacies, there was a time when she had no clue. In a conversation with Wales Online, she talks about her initial days.

A new star in the bodybuilding community 

When Landers first thought of starting bodybuilding, she was hesitant and had her own reservations. However, thanks to the support of her trainer, she soon gathered her strength. Following their words of advice, she slowly improved her pace. Working out five days a week, she successfully toned down her body to almost 112 pounds.

Having transformed her body 360 degrees, she says, “This is the fittest I have ever been, and I look better.” Speaking her heart out, she also talked about her how “terrified” she was when she had to put on the skimpy-sparky bikini for the first time ahead of the competition. However, she successfully transformed her fears into success.

Surprising everyone, she took the sixth spot. Even though she could not win the competition, she is glad that she could overcome her fears. Being in the best shape, she is now thoroughly enjoying her life. Refusing to call her old, she prefers to refer her herself as “70 years young.” Isn’t that a great way to go about life?
