In his recent newsletter, the bodybuilding legend shared an easy and effective exercise routine that not only ensures great health but also claims to amp up one’s lifespan.

The 7 x Mr. Olympia was instrumental in popularizing bodybuilding as a sport. In his pursuit to enlighten people about the numerous benefits of a daily exercise routine, the global-fame action star wrote about an old-fashioned practice, walking.

Schwarzenegger supported this fitness mantra with research conducted on more than 47,000 individuals over seven years, which studied the correlation between step count and mortality. Moreover, the Austrian native wrote, “Growing up in Europe, walking is totally normal once you finish a meal.” Furthermore, Schwarzenegger shared a magic number.
