All the issues that Wheeler discussed are very concerning. The downfall of Wheeler started with a rare kidney disease back in 1999. Everything he had built up to that point, came crumbling down. He also discussed his darkest moments during his hospital stay.

Flex Wheeler is a retired American IFBB professional bodybuilder. He even won the Arnold Classic four times. Despite being talented, Wheeler never tasted the glory of Mr. Olympia, but he has had a successful bodybuilding career. The only issue with Wheeler is his health. His health has never been good to him and has always caused him a lot of trouble.

All the pain that Flex Wheeler went through

Flex Wheeler was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis back in 1999. He was forced to quit bodybuilding because of this.

“So being yanked out of the sport at the top of your game that’s rough and it was really a spiral down,” Wheeler talked about how he was shattered after losing himself. Because of a rare disease that nobody knew about, he lost everything. All the glory and the materialistic things he owned went down. 

“All they did was put me on more drugs,” Wheeler said and continued, “So we all know that when you’re on tremendous amount of painkillers what happens depression?” Wheeler answered that question with, “Oh now we need to put your anti-depression.” All the drugs they gave him devastated him mentally and physically.

The amount of pain he endured caused him depression and the doctors gave him anti-depressants for it which made everything worse. All these drugs gave him hallucinations.

Flex Wheeler has won the Arnold Classic four times. He is even claimed as one of the greatest bodybuilders by bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

Even Ronnie Coleman who is one of the best bodybuilders in the entire history of bodybuilding, claimed that Wheeler is one of the best competitors he had.

Flex Wheeler had it all. He had a talent for bodybuilding and smooth life. But everything was just devastated because of his health issues.
