Lou Ferrigno has been one of bodybuilding’s most iconic sportsmen. From his achievements in the sport, which include two consecutive Mr. America titles, to his advent in acting, Ferrigno has worn many hats.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, the retired professional bodybuilder elucidates his strategy for leading a healthy life.

What makes Lou Ferrigno Angry?

Ferrigno had previously starred as The Incredible Hulk, which marked the beginning of his global fame in the world of cinema. While promoting his film ‘Instant Death’, the athlete faced an interesting question during one of his interviews in 2017.

“What makes me angry is people who don’t take action for themselves,” he said, “people who procrastinate…they are always making excuses”

Ferrigno’s advice for a healthier life

In the video, the actor further states that one of the most critical aspects of leading a healthy life is one’s diet. Ferrigno was asked what his top tips would be to help someone train and look after their body.

He replied, “The best thing you can do is walk and exercise lightly,” he continued, “…have a balanced diet.”

While Ferrigno has been known for having one of the most sought-after physiques, it required time and patience to build. Special attention was given to breakfast, of course! “Three egg whites, a cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice, and some muffins” is the definition of the perfect breakfast per the bodybuilder.

But one can say what ties it all together is the desire to get better at the sport every day. A desire to be better than you were yesterday. “The word consistent – that’s the whole secret,” said Ferrigno.

The pop culture icon knows all too well. And what it is like to never give up. Having been impaired with hearing loss at a very young age, the actor and athlete never let his disabilities get the better of him. To this day, the 315lbs heavy persona remains one of bodybuilding’s most historical figures and continues to inspire millions.
