After the roaring success of Mr. Olympia 2022, Arnold Classic 2023 is here to jolt the participants awake once again. With multiple fitness-based competitions and a high-stakes bodybuilding championship, athletes are pumped up for the first week of March.

Getting their gains and practicing their poses, bodybuilders like Big Ramy, Nick Walker, Samson Dauda, and more are all set to rock the stage. They all have their eyes on the prize, and the rewards are huge this time. The bigger the form, the bigger the returns – this year, the Arnold Classic has outdone itself with the winning prize amount. Wondering what is it?

Arnold Classic has always gone head-to-head with Mr. Olympia in terms of bodybuilding contenders. In a recent post, both, Arnold Sports Festival representatives and the co-founder Arnold Schwarzenegger, made a huge announcement. The management increased the prize money for the winner of the Arnold Classic from last year’s $200,000, to a whopping $300,000! With several sponsors this year, the Arnold Sports Festival has upped its rewards game.

When, Where and How to Watch Arnold Classic 2023?

Apart from the overall winner, the prize money for the Arnold Classic Physique champion has also been increased to $60,000. With an increase in rewards, the stakes are high, and participants are ready to battle it out. However, here’s a little catch – the prize money for the overall championship will always be lesser than Mr. Olympia. Here’s why!

Arnold’s dreams to make the Arnold Sports Festival the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world was cut short when he faced an absurd request. Ben Weider and the IFBB came knocking on the legend’s door, asking him to sign an agreement.

The terms were simple. Arnold Sports Festival gets a sanction from the IFBB as long as Schwarzenegger agreed to keep the prize money lower than Mr. Olympia’s. This is why the festival has always held back on the rewards. However, the title still holds equal importance.
