The acting career of Arnold Schwarzenegger can be attributed to popularizing the sport of bodybuilding. One such TV series was called The Streets of San Francisco (1972). In 2014, a video clip resurfaced that portrayed a young Schwarzenegger violently shaking a young woman, angry at the fact that she laughed at him. After shaking her to death, Schwarzenegger threw her and fled from the scene.

In this clip, the bodybuilding icon played the role of an aspiring bodybuilder named Joseph Schmidt and stars opposite Hilarie Thompson who plays the role of Irene Lupoff.  This series debuted in 1972 and ran till 1977. This video clip is from the episode titled Deadlift of the TV series. In this episode, Irene who seemed fascinated by Josef’s (Schwarzenegger) physique invited him inside her house. Her curiosity drove her to ask a series of questions. She asks, “How much do you work out?” replying to which Schwarzenegger answers, “4-5 hours a day.”

Later, an unlettered Irene light-heartedly calls him a body freak and gets a recorder to record what he is saying. Strongly reacting, Josef says, “Turn that off, and I’m no freak.” Irene then apologizes in a beat and asks him how often he works out. Josef kept answering her questions until Irene wanted to see him what he looks like. Without much hesitance, he takes off his shirt, giving a glimpse of his monstrous physique.

As the story continues, Irene sought to know the purpose of working out. Josef then promises to show her the purpose with a condition that she wouldn’t laugh. “I promise”, Irene states. Post this, Schwarzeneggermanaged to get some baby oil and starts posing in front of Irene, showcasing his abs and biceps.

Seeing him posing, Irene bursts out in laughter that didn’t sit well for him. Quickly collecting herself, Irene repeatedly apologizes. “I’m sorry it just looks so ridiculous,” she admits. Enraged, Josef wears his shirt while responding to her apology. He asked, “You think I’m funny huh?” Reacting to this, Irene further angers him as she makes his bodily image to look synonymous to that of a big ape. Unable to control his seething rage, Schwarzenegger says, “Stop that,” and begins to shake her violently. Throwing her off on to the sofa, Josef leaves her house as she coldly remain unconscious.
