Various people have different impressions of the legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. But, many would agree that when it comes to helping others, Schwarzenegger is one of the kindest people. Hence, once, his ‘Total Recall’ co-star Michael Ironside, was left speechless by one of Schwarzenegger’s kind acts on a movie set. 

During the film’s 30th anniversary, Ironside recalled how the legendary actor supported him while his sister battled cancer. Here is what the actor had to say about Schwarzenegger.

While Ironside was busy with the movie, his sister was hospitalized in Canada after her diagnosis. And since the internet and phones were not common back then, Schwarzenegger willingly helped his co-star. During an interview with HeyUGuys, Ironside described Schwarzenegger as, “This guy, he’s not bullsh**. He was for real. He really cared about it.”

When the Hollywood icon learned about Ironside’s sister’s condition, he decided to talk to her and connect the siblings. Ironside narrated how the conversation went, “I said, ‘Somebody wants to talk to you, it’s Arnold’ and she said, ‘Schwarzenegger?’” The action hero then took over the talk. “He goes, ‘Windy, you’ve got to look after yourself, your brother loves you very much, you’re so important to him,’” Ironside recalled. 

Schwarzenegger’s co-star was moved by the legend’s help and braced him with a hug. However, the superstar did not just stop there. Every day during their shoot, Schwarzenegger ensured to call Ironside’s sister and motivate her during her treatment. The actor not only worked with Ironside but also played the role of an important friend in his life.

Reed revealed that the legendary actor was “generous to a fault.” She revealed that Schwarzenegger was open to facing any kind of challenges and experiments and was extremely great at everything he did.
