Arnold Schwarzenegger and his ex-wife Maria are not the only ones who express their political views openly. Following in their footsteps is now their son-in-law Chris Pratt, who took the center stage. Unlike his father-in-law, the Marvel actor is not contesting the election. However, taking a political stand, Pratt voiced his support for LA mayor candidate, Rick Caruso.

With this, Chris joined his mother-in-law Maria Shriver, and Twitter boss, Elon Musk on the Caruso bandwagon. Taking to his Instagram stories, the actor posted a message in favor of the Democrat Rick Caruso.

Chris Pratt reveals his pick for the LA Mayor election

For the unversed, Rick Caruso is an American billionaire businessman contesting the elections. In the event of the said development, Chris Pratt backed the political candidate ahead of the midterm election. Extending his voice for the former Los Angeles Police Commission president, he said, “I’ve lived in LA for over 20 years. It’s been great for me. In that time, I’ve seen what many residents here have seen, the city’s gradual decline into pain and utter disarray,” 

He further wrote, “If you live here, you know exactly what I’m talking about.” To voice his political opinions publicly is very unusual for the Guardian of the Galaxy star. However, this time was different. He further said, “I don’t normally support political candidates. But in this election, there’s too much to lose.” With this, Chris now stands with Maria and Elon.

Furthermore, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, also showed his support for Rick over Twitter. He wrote, “Los Angeles is fortunate to have someone like Rick Caruso running for mayor. He’s awesome.”

Although he was a Republican, the former Governor of California locked horns with the ex-US President Donald Trump on multiple occasions.
