Bodybuilder Jay Cutler, who is currently busy with his business empire, discussed plausible reasons in a year-old interaction. The four-time Mr. Olympia carries a well-maintained body even after retirement. He has not tweaked his fitness routine much and continues to live an active life. However, he had a few inferences about the recent deaths of bodybuilders.

Jay Cutler has also been a six-time runner in Mr. Olympia. The last time he competed in the prestigious competition was in 2013, when he came placed sixth. Considered one of the top bodybuilders, Jay has mind-blowing quadriceps and an eye-popping quad-stomp pose. Cutler is presently busy working on his supplement brand, Cutler Nutrition. He also owns a clothing line, Cutler Athletics.

As per a podcast, Jay Cutler stated his opinion, “I think people are just running scared at this point, think ‘oh my gosh, bodybuilding is so dangerous.” Cutler continued, “I think anything in life is, nutrition and whatever else, and we obviously push ourselves. I think our biggest fear now is, when you’re 290, 5-foot-9 or 10, you’re considered obese. So it puts a lot of strain on the heart. Although I felt pretty good at 290, I knew I couldn’t maintain that for a long time, hence I walked away at 40 years old.”

Jay Cutler stated that when he joined bodybuilding, he saw legends like Dorian Yates and Lee Haney retire in their late thirties. According to Cutler, continuing bodybuilding after a certain age might not be the healthiest thing to do.
