Bodybuilding Legend, Kai Greene Opened Up About His Acting Gig in the Netflix Series Worth $72 Million

The IFBB-pro, Kai Greene, made his debut in the Stranger Things universe as Funshine, in the second season of the series. In a 2017  interview with Geek Chic Elite, Greene expressed his sentiments upon being a part of the set, besides bodybuilding.

Appearing in episodes 9 and 15 of Season 2, Funshine was an associate of Kali’s gang along with Mick, Axel, and Dottie. His sole objective was to hunt people who wronged him in the past.

Kai Greene in his career as an actor

Upon being asked what he learned from his time as an actor in the Crazy Fist, and Stranger Things 2. And if it sparked a newfound interest in the movie business, the retired bodybuilder stated, “I think the interest in acting has been around for a really long time. It’s only recently that I’ve had the chance to develop enough courage and confidence to go after that right now.”

Greene on prospective plans

The bodybuilder who came in second for three consecutive times in 2012, 2013, and 2014 editions of Mr. Olympia, never competed again. Although often regarded as the uncrowned king of bodybuilding, Kai never formally retired from the sport.

Currently, Kai has ventured into the world of acting. He is considering exploring his creativity and working on building himself up as an actor. Finally, upon being asked if he had a favorite medium to work with, the artist stated, “I would have to say acting and currently, I see myself seeking more opportunities as well as improving my skill set as a developing actor.
