Eddie Hall has reached the pinnacle of his sport. After qualifying for the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2012, Hall improved his performance each consecutive year until he won the contest in 2017. However, in recent years, the renowned strongman shifted his focus to boxing and bodybuilding. The rivalry with fellow WSM winner Hafthor Bjornsson culminated in a boxing match in 2022. While the strongman didn’t find success inside the squared circle, he recently posted a video on Instagram, where he knocked out two-time World Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. But there was a catch.

The footage of Hall boxing and knocking out Tyson Fury was not authentic. It was a teaser for a new boxing video game featuring a massive roster of boxers. Eddie Hall explained the details in a YouTube video and even apologized to Fury.

However, the strongman also gave a disclaimer.

“Disclaimer: I know I’ve got more chance of having a bum with King Charles than chinning Tyson,” Hall wrote. Later, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man also uploaded a YouTube video explaining how he got featured in the video game. Hall described the creators of the boxing game Undisputed using motion capture to create his 3D model and copy his movements.

Hall said he got involved with the game in the earliest stage of development and is excited about its early access launch on Steam. “It’s literally just for clickbait. I didn’t really knock Tyson Fury out, and I apologize for disrespecting the king,” said Hall. He also said it would be a “big, big mistake” to get into the ring with the man who defeated greats like Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder.

Since stepping away from training for strongman full-time, Eddie Hall has tried boxing and bodybuilding. After a challenge from his old rival Hafthor Bjornsson, the two men trained for a boxing match for months. Hall and Bjornsson met in the ring on March 19, 2022. While Hall found success early in the bout, Bjornsson dominated the later rounds getting and winning the bout via unanimous decision.
