Born in 1995, Christopher Adam Bumstead, more popularly known as Chris Bumstead, is a professional bodybuilder. He is the reigning Mr. Olympia Class Physique winner. He has been winning the said competition consecutively since 2019. A face of modern bodybuilding, CBum marks a great online presence. He works on content that focuses on lifestyle and bodybuilding.

The 2020 Mr. Olympia was crucial for Chris, as he was the defending champion. Not only just the fans had high expectations from him, but he also had high hopes for himself. Thus, leaving no stone unturned, Bumstead gave his best for the event. With hard work, Chris secured his second-comfortable win and made himself a household name.

Chris gave the details away

As the 2020 dates for Mr. Olympia were approaching, Chris was delicately preparing himself. Sharing his preparation strategy, he sat for an interview with GI Exclusive 13 weeks before the competition. There he did not just show his confident self but also shed light on his daily routine and diet.

Talking about his life in the 2020 interview before the competition, he quoted, “My life in the last three to four months has been extremely bodybuilding oriented.” Telling about his diet, the defending champion further added, “this is one of the hardest off-season food, and everything I have found just making the food, eating the food, and getting tired from eating all the food.”

He revealed that his day revolved around following a strict diet plan. He shared that he “would be eating and be like get ready for the next meal. In the podcast, he, thus, gave his fans a sneak peek into his regimented life and hinted his competitors that he is all set to claim back the title. However, it’s not just the diet that formed the basis of his win; he was equally careful about his workout. Even as the 2022 Mr. Olympia season approaches, he is leveling up his preparation strategy.

Chris Bumstead prepares to re-claim the title 

With just weeks away from the event, Chris is not leaving out any loops. In the 1st week of November, he posted an intense workout video of himself in his official YouTube video. In the video titled “Sharing my secrets,” the champion was seen sharing the space with bodybuilder Vaughn Walker.

In the shared video, he showed his arm workout. For the unversed, the video in the talk was an FST-7-inspired arm workout video. Throughout the video, Bumstead and Vaughn shared their intense workout, which comprised of:

  • Triceps Rope Pushdowns
  • Overhead Machine Triceps Extensions
  • Bodyweight Dips
  • Machine Preacher Curls
  • Prone Incline Spider Curls
  • Alternating Dumbbell Curls
  • Cable Tricep Push Outs
  • FST-7: Standing Dual Cable Curls
