At that time when Melissa and Valliere started dating, Bumstead was simply keen on working out. Recalling those times, he remembered Valliere complimenting him to Melissa, saying, “Your brother’s really jacked.”  After that, gradually, Bumstead forged a strong bond with Valliere who shared the same love for working out. “I was like pumped that my sister started dating this dude who’s like really jacked and could teach me how to get more jacked”, Bumstead admitted.

Valliere who already finished high school took CBum under his wing. Bumstead then related how he “took a year off” after high school and Valliere offered to coach him to which he readily agreed.
