The training routine caters to bodybuilders individually. It is not a one-size-fits-all approach. However, it is interesting to see contrasting opinions regarding training routines. Given his beastly form, Ronnie Coleman had an intense workout regimen. This included all kinds of exercises at different levels and intensities. For his arms, the legend resorted to weight training twice a week. While both days would have different routines, the champion would still have a set of common exercises. Subsequently, 4x Mr. Olympia and Ronnie Coleman’s onstage rival Jay Cutler thought otherwise. The icon did not believe that pushing weights was healthy. In fact, he actively avoided pushing weights that he did not need. This is because he did not want to risk his physique just to get impressive numbers. He also addressed the issue of how people confused intensity with the amount of weight lifted.
While it is true that sometimes less is more, one should look at what works for them. Ronnie Coleman could achieve his goal by lifting heavy weights, whereas Jay Cutler achieved his goal with a different routine. However, both had the grit and determination to hustle and work hard.
