Terrick El Guindy is perhaps the most influential name in the bodybuilding industry. He is a partner, and a judge for the world’s most prestigious bodybuilding competition, Mr. Olympia. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most renowned bodybuilders of all time, and there was an unusual take on him in this video.

He recently spoke in a video uploaded to the ‘Muscle and Fitness’ channel, discussing his list of favorites. Retired bodybuilder Chris Cornier also shared his two cents in the video that was uploaded on 5th November 2022.

Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t up to the mark

The 7x Mr.Olympia winner could not always satisfy the judges, though. El Guindy criticized Arnold’s physique in comparison to his competitors. The Terminator falls shy, reaching the heights of bodybuilding beasts like Phil Heath or Lee Haney.

“Physically he was not as good as these guys. His waist was not the smallest. He had legs that could have been bigger,” El Guindy said. Stating the top 5 bodybuilders, El Guindy named Lee Haney, Phil Heath, Ronnie Coleman, Dorian Yates, and Jay Cutler, and finally adds Arnold’s name in the sixth position.

Furthermore, he explains why he feels others were better than the Austrian-American actor. He stated, “Lee Haney was so dominant when he won those eight Olympias. He retired early. Nobody really worried about him. If he was in the age of social media, people would go crazy with Lee Haney,”

“He was so good, so dominant, no flaws to his physique. He changed the game,” continues the Olympia judge. Chris Cornier also praised IFBB Pro and 7x Mr. Olympia champion Phil Heath. He added, “Phil Heath was magical. I think his muscle bellies were something we had never seen before. His 3D look was unprecedented. He was incredible. You gotta give credit to his conditioning.”

Arnold enjoyed success in multiple fields

Arnold Schwarzenegger has proved himself beyond the stage of Mr. Olympia. The bodybuilder has acted in various movies across action/adventure, drama and comedy genres. His portfolio includes blockbusters like The Twins, Terminator series, Commando, Jingle All the Way, Conan the Barbarian, besides plenty more.

He also served as the governor of California for two terms. His political career encompassed the promotion of environmentalism. Besides cinema and politics, Schwarzenegger has also been a successful businessman. His ventures included brick-laying businesses, theme restaurants, mail-order businesses, and commercial advertisements.
