For David Schneider, a severe disability did not put a damper on his dreams. The man is on his journey to becoming a bodybuilder, and so far, he’s been doing great! A recent viral video on LADBible featured Schneider lifting heavy weights while sitting in a wheelchair. The champion powered through the lifts as he got constant encouragement from his personal trainer.

David Schneider pumps it up with sheer might

David Schneider was born with a severe disability that affects his mobility. Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) is a condition where multiple joints in the body stiffen to the point of little to no movement of the joints. This means that the person suffering from this condition is unable to fully or partially extend or bend their limbs.

Schneider was given no hope by doctors with regard to his mobility. Yet, the champion persevered and aimed to build his body. Within a year of his diagnosis, he was on the road to becoming a bodybuilder! Despite having a limited range of motion, Schneider still managed to perform various exercises.

The video began with Schneider’s personal trainer handing him the big weights to lift. The athlete took up the task like a champ and began performing his reps. At first, he seemed to aim for three. But he pushed to complete five reps before handing the weights back to his trainer. With this stint, Schneider is now the source of inspiration for many specially-abled bodybuilders.

Bodybuilding legends like Ronnie Coleman and Flex Wheeler have acted as sources of inspiration even after their retirement. Both suffered from a wide variety of issues that have affected their mobility to a huge extent. While for Coleman, it’s his severe back issues, for Wheeler, it’s his amputation. Yet, both stars still keep up with their intense training. They have therefore become some of the biggest inspirations for upcoming bodybuilders.
