Flex Wheeler’s revelations about his amputation
Retracing his memories during the amputation, he reassuringly said, “I think there were all blessings. You know I understand it. But it’s nice to rehear ’cause… millions of fans, you know, when this happens like… God only gives us the greatest battles… to the strongest warriors”, he responded.

The bodybuilding champion was in a moment of truth wherein he openly revealed the fact that he was suicidal and depressed. Commenting on his mental health issues, he shared, “… any of these battles that I have, I think I have been able to go to those battles, to turn around, and hand them some lemonade instead of lemons”.

Wheeler also revealed how fighting his battles was an emotional rollercoaster and changed his perspective. He shared some light on how his everyday practices needed a new perspective also disclosed. Maneuvering through these changes through learning and unlearning is not for the faintest of hearts, but The Sultan of Symmetry egged on to strike a perfect balance soon after he recovered. He summed up by saying, “I was built for this“.

The bodybuilding legend also told about the importance of giving back to society. “For me, it’s more powerful, giving back”, he said. He also spoke about how he desires to be a spokesperson for people with disabilities.

Flex Wheeler’s shocking disclosures about his health problems
Wheeler narrated how a doctor once told him that one of his arteries was 100% blocked and the other was 90% blocked. After this shocking statement, Flex decided to go ahead with surgery to improve his health. The bodybuilding champion also revealed how he could have lost his right arm, left arm, and left leg due to the horrific disease. Wheeler had a rare disease called focus segmental glomerulosclerosis which attacks the limbs.
