Chris Bumstead has always been the people’s champ. Even after winning Mr. Olympia Classic Physique thrice, Chris comes across as a humble guy. His no-nonsense attitude and transparency, continue to win him more fans. Another reason fans love Chris is that he interacts with them regularly through social media. Bumstead often answers fan questions. During one such video, Bumstead revealed what he’d like to steal Arnold Schwarzenegger’s biggest asset in bodybuilding.

When a fan asked the reigning champ to choose something between Arnold, and Tom Platz, he didn’t hesitate to answer. Chris also said why he’d choose one over the other.

Chris Bumstead doesn’t believe in going shirtless

During a short Q&A video, Chris answered a fan’s question. The fan had asked, “Would you rather have Tom Platz’s legs or Arnold’s arms?”

The Three-time Mr. Olympia Classic Physique winner, immediately answered, “Definitely Arnold’s arms!” Chris also said, “I might be biased because I just have sh** arms to begin with and I have good legs.” While Chris seemed unhappy with his arms, the Canadian has already won Mr. Olympia Classic Physique title, three times in a row.

Bumstead said, “I know I can grow my legs and I train them… and I’ve done it, but my arms have just been a bi*** to grow.” Tom Platz was the 1981, Mr. Universe. Platz never won the Mr. Olympia title, however, many fans still credit him with having the best legs of all time.

In his prime, Platz’s legs measured a massive 30 inches each. However, since Classic Physique is about having a more balanced figure. Chris would rather have Arnold‘s iconic arms. At the end of the video, the Canadian also mentioned, he’d like Arnold’s chest as a bonus.

Chris has a funny take on going shirtless in the gym

Bumstead isn’t afraid to crack a few jokes, when it’s the right time. When a fan asked, what Bumstead  felt about going shirtless in the gym. To this, Chris had a funny answer. Bumstead said, “It is literally illegal. You will go to jail and die.” It’s safe to say no one saw that coming. However, the reigning champ further clarified, it was a joke.

He also said that while it’s up to the individual, he doesn’t recommend anyone going to the gym shirtless. Unless they want to look like a “D-bag.”

Chris made it clear, he’d prefer having Arnold’s arms, and had a good reason for it. Classic physique is all about trying to achieve perfect proportions with good size. While Chris’ legs have responded well to training, his arms haven’t. Since the reigning champ is always chasing the perfectly balanced physique, he’d prefer better arms.
