Despite His Road Rage, On-Screen ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger’, Calum Von Moger, Ditched Conviction Due to a Sensitive Reason

This January, the three-time Mr. Universe title winner, Calum von Moger, got himself in trouble when he got involved in a road rage incident. For the unversed, the 32-year-old from Geelong was earlier convicted of criminal charges from an altercation that occurred on January 26 in Melbourne’s Altona North following a car accident. The decision favors Calum as he has been acquitted, not guilty.

Calum appeared earlier on Wednesday in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for his verdict. The bodybuilder allegedly stabbed the tires of another driver’s car in the incident in a fit of rage. Read along to find details.

Upon hearing both parties, Magistrate Roslyn Porter rebuked Calum for his conduct. The magistrate remarked his behavior was “frightening and totally unacceptable.” However, Calum’s psychologist’s report was accepted in court. The report highlighted his deteriorating mental health.

Additionally, he admitted guilty to criminal damage for an earlier incident in which he fled the scene of an accident without giving the other motorist his information. Before passing the verdict, the magistrate took into account all the facts. It was informed to the court that Calum was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. The jury was also notified of Calum’s deteriorating mental health since 2018.

Calum’s defense lawyer, Bernard Campigli, urged, “He does have potential business opportunities in America; he is largely reliant on that income. I can’t give that figure, but von Moger does have the prospect of future employment,” Campigli also hinted that his client’s convict could cause him to separate from his young son, who lives in the US. The arguments presented by Bernard helped Calum to get off the hook.

Who is  Calum von Moger?

Born in 1990, Calum von Moger is an Australian bodybuilder and actor. He is also the three-time Mr. Universe title winner. He is best known for portraying Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2018 movie ‘Bigger.’ Last month following a tragic accident, Calum had to be placed in an induced coma. He fell from a second-story window at his home in Melbourne.

Following the incident, he has now recovered. He keeps posting videos of himself working out on his official Instagram id. With more than 3.3 million followers on Instagram, Calum remains active on social media. As per the recent updates, Moger is now required to pay $2500 as a fine. He has also been instructed to undergo treatment for mental health and be on good behavior for the next 12 months.
