In his latest social media update the 4-time Mr. Olympia revealed his take on doing cardio. Previously, the icon capped off his fitness goal before hitting 50. And for that, he wanted to get a bigger and more muscular stature which can certainly not be achieved by doing cardio. Thus, Cutler is planning otherwise. Jay Cutler is quitting cardio

In a recent YouTube video from his official channel, Cutler revealed his routine of omitting cardio from his daily workout routine. The IFBB pro further stated that he is going to start a phase where he wants to put on a size. And as he informed that the body is not reactive to the diet phase if one is beating it down so hard. Thus, this is high time for him to stop doing cardio.

However, while revealing his goal for the next few months, the former Mr. Olympia stated, “I don’t know what this shape is going to be once I hit August, but I know one thing. I’m gonna make a switch right now and just let the training do its thing to my body.”In fact, Cutler sounded pretty confident recalling his prime, “Then I’ll start really kind of fine-tuning, and if I feel like I need to add the cardio and I will. But as you know, I’ve done a million shows without doing cardio.”

In his podcast, Cutler Cast, the bodybuilder shared that he is going to cut down his caffeine intake. “I am actually stepping away from normal activities and I ‘m going to go full tilt starting May,” he added. Thus it can be said that Cutler’s quitting cardio is another step toward the goal that he set for himself before his big day.
