Flex Wheeler, the “Sultan of Symmetry,” was born in California in 1965. After a brief stint in the police force, Flex changed his career path to focus solely on bodybuilding. And, he became so graceful at this sport that even Arnold Schwarzenegger had complimented him on his greek-god physique.

Fans of Flex have always been in awe of his diamond physique and nail-gritting dedication. Although this IFBB pro legend never won any Mr. Olympia titles, he had absolutely won hearts. And this is much more understandable following his Lifetime Achievement Award from Arnold sports.

Wheeler was truly an uncrowned king

It is widely accepted among the fans of Bodybuilding that Wheeler was an uncrowned Mr. Olympia. He did get quite close to winning it once against Ronnie Coleman, but the latter bagged it.  Wheeler has finished on the 2nd spot in Mr. Olympia quite a few times (1993, 1998, and 1999).

But, while he had no luck there, Wheeler did win many other competitions. He holds the record number of wins at the Arnold games, a whopping 4 times. He also won the Ironman Pro championships, for an impressive 5 times. In totality, he is one of the icons of bodybuilding, a perfect successor to Arnold himself.
