Giving in to his curiosity, Adam had asked Zane what he wanted to be while growing up. Frank revealed that initially, he wanted to be a scientist. However, his dissatisfaction with the way his high school teachers taught, lead to him taking up teaching as a career. While training to be a bodybuilder, Zane used to work as a mathematics teacher. He also revealed how he changed his path from wanting to be a scientist to becoming a teacher.

“I wanted to be a scientist until I got involved in teaching because when I was in high school I thought that I could do a much better job at teaching than the teachers I had there,” Zane said. “So when I was in college I was a chemistry major and then after two years I switched to secondary education and then began teaching in school after that,” he added.

Additionally, Zane thinks that teaching is the best side profession for an aspiring bodybuilder. According to him, it pays well enough for the aspirant to support himself and they’ll get months off in the summers during the vacations to focus on the training.
