Brian Shaw, the renowned strongman and four-time winner of the World’s Strongest Man competition, is facing a serious health challenge just 12 weeks away from the competition. He has been diagnosed with a severe leg infection that has put his participation in the competition in doubt. However, things can get worse, as there is the possibility that he may have to undergo amputation to save his life.

Brian Shaw explains the current condition

The news of Shaw’s condition was shared by the man himself on his Instagram account. In a post, he was explained that he had been hospitalized for a severe infection in his leg. The giant also added that he was currently facing the possibility of amputation if the infection could not be controlled.

 The 41-year-old said that he was determined to come out stronger on the other side.

He wrote, “This is a tough video for me to share but it’s a look into what I have had to overcome on the road to WSM. If it can help someone out there that is enough for me and will make it all worth it.”
