After a short stint in boxing, the 2018 World’s Strongest Man winner, Hafthor Bjornsson announced he was coming out of retirement. However, on April 15, during his first competition of the year, the strongman tore his left pectoral muscle while attempting to benchpress 556 lbs. Shortly after his injury, the bodybuilding and strength sports enthusiast uploaded a video on his YouTube revealing the details of his injury and said that he would be traveling to LA, and that’s where he plans to get the surgery done.

Seeing the strongman step on the road to recovery, some fans cracked lighthearted jokes. “Bro I thought the Reign (energy drink) can was a juice box at first cuz you made it look so small,” wrote one fan. “300 mg of caffeine deep for recovery,” joked another fan. However, others pointed out that 300 mg of caffeine for a 6’9 Ft strongman wasn’t anything outrageous.
