In ‘Ronnie Coleman’s Nothin But a Podcast’, the Egyptian bodybuilder discussed his background before bodybuilding. He talked about his journey through the years and his preparation for the upcoming Mr. Olympia championship.

When Ronnie Coleman asked him about his occupation before bodybuilding, the two-time Mr. Olympia winner replied, “I’m a fisherman”. Reacting to this statement, Coleman said, “I had no idea you could do that fishing thing….used to be one of my hobbies as a kid growing up.”  Big Ramy went on to narrate how his whole family worked in the fishing business and that before becoming a bodybuilder, he wanted to be the best fisherman in the world.

The defending Mr. Olympia champion further revealed that he’d never thought of becoming a bodybuilder. His desire to be better in life is what pushed him towards it.
When Coleman asked about how long he had been in the bodybuilding profession, Big Ramy mentioned that it had been twelve years. He recalled that he wasn’t sure about winning the Mr. Olympia title back in 2021. This prompted Coleman to give his own insights about his struggles.

Talking about a bodybuilding competition in 2001, the eight-time Mr. Olympia winner said, “I had uh quit, quit the show the morning of the show.”  He continues, “Yeah, it was pretty rough so, I couldn’t wait till next year to redeem myself. But you know, it all worked out.” Evidently, the bodybuilding world has not been easy on both the champions.

Big Ramy’s strong response about Olympia 2022 and prediction 

Opening up about his preparation for Mr. Olympia 2022, Big Ramy stated that there were no problems. During another interview, he said that his current weight was 306 pounds, and predicted that by the time he hit the stage he would weigh 295 pounds.
