Four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw was all set for this year’s Strongman event to win his 5th and last title. But unfortunately, his plan is now hindered by a severe leg infection that made his participation uncertain. Reportedly, in January, Shaw had to see the doctors and eventually ended up in the hospital for over a week. Now, months after recovering, his on-stage rival and real-life friend Eddie Hall poked fun at the former on social media.

Eddie Hall is different from Brian Shaw

Besides winning the 2017 Strongman competition, Hall has a notable digital presence. His social media is packed with hilarious stunts and videos. However, even though he doesn’t compete anymore, the English strongman traveled to America to attend an event. And thus, he decided to meet his buddy at his home. In fact, there he nudged Shaw with a pun while sitting for a chat.

Both were having a good conversation at Shaw’s home, where the four-time champ was sitting on a chair and resting his legs on an ottoman. Notably, Shaw was wearing an air-compression leg massager which circulates the blood vessels. However, pointing at it, the American strongman giant asked Hall, “You see me wear this before…you’ve never put this on.”

To this, The Beast hilariously said, “No no, they’re not for me, I have no cellulite in my legs.” This made both laugh their guts out, and Brian Shaw continued that he had cellulite, “just everywhere else.” Nevertheless, this conversation with his dear friend certainly helped the four-time winner to forget about his ordeal for a moment.

Shaw is still a strongman

While Shaw was preparing for his fifth and final WSM title, he fell prey to some unforeseen circumstances. In January, the giant contracted a leg infection, which he initially thought would go away with “some IV antibiotics.” But the doctors told him that the situation was not simple.

Notably, he had to stay in the hospital for over a week. In fact, Shaw battled the leg infection as it spread through the lower part of his left leg. Although such was his willpower that after returning from the hospital he headed to the gym that day. Hopefully, he’s getting back to his normal to claim his coveted 5th title.
