As the 2022 Mr. Olympia competition is just around the corner, Nick Walker is in full-fledged training mode for the contest. His rival, Brandon Curry, who is one of the top competitors for the championships, is training under coach Abdullah Alotaibi. The coach is confident about Curry’s chances of winning the Mr. Olympia title, but not Walker.

However, Alotaibi seems worried about other competitors, especially Nick Walker. Does he believe Walker doesn’t stand a chance against Curry? Or is he genuinely concerned about Curry’s rival?

Coach Alotaibi’s concerns regarding Nick Walker and his weight

Abdullah Alotaibi was recently featured on the Fouad Abiad Media podcast to discuss the upcoming 2022 Mr. Olympia championships and his pick and plans for the event. While sharing his views on the top five competitors for the event, Alotaibi also mentioned Nick Walker.

However, as soon as Walker came into the conversation, the coach quickly pointed out the bodybuilder’s decreased weight. He stated, “Listen if you seen Nick Walker, he’s dropped [weight] and looks small. I have no idea why he would do this.” Alotaibi was also aware of Walter’s exact weight difference before and now. “I saw Nick, he was 300 pounds, and now he’s 255 I don’t know what happened,” he added.

The coach also explained how the lower-weight bodybuilders might face defeat in the contest. To clarify his opinion, the coach said, “Not everybody can come in full or dry but if you want to make fullness round, this is not everybody. The show is at night, not 12 in the morning. The night is different. The guys who come in shredded early who will go flat from refeeding. This is bodybuilding.”

Although this is a strong take by the bodybuilding coach, only time will tell if his opinion of Walker was accurate or not. However, Alotaibi is sure about one thing, and that is Brandon Curry will claim his second!

Curry and Ramy have become the fan’s favorites to win the 2022 Mr. Olympia title. However, after seeing Ramy’s latest physique and development, many are sure he will be “unbeatable” at the tournament.

However, Curry’s coach Alotaibi believes it is not hard to beat the “big” guy. Just like Nick Walker and his decreased weight might be a problem for him, so can Ramy’s enormous weight.
