Who doesn’t appreciate the comparison of legends like Arnold Schwarzenegger with other stars in Hollywood? The Austrian Oak is known for his success in box office hits like Terminator, Predator, and True Lies. 

However, the MCU world fame Chris Hemsworth was once compared with the Austrian Oak. The comparison was based on the similarities they have in their physique and facial features. But Hemsworth seemed to be disappointed by the comparison. 

Hemsworth’s comparison with Arnold Schwarzenegger

During an interview with Den of Geek, Hemsworth shared his point of view. Hemsworth has some differences between his films and the genres Schwarzenegger has mostly starred in. For example, the genre explored by Hemsworth includes a mix of subgenres and a tone that action films sometimes lack.

Chris stated, “I got asked the other day, did you always want to be the next Schwarzenegger? And I thought that’s what you’ve got from what I’ve done? I was really disappointed like I thought, you know that I’d chosen these scripts and loved them because they had real actors in them and real story and heart, and sometimes with films, the action overshadows anything else.”

From time to time, Chris has brought up the differences and similarities between other action films and his own Marvel projects. Hemsworth’s work in the MCU world is incredible and noteworthy. 

Would Schwarzenegger do superhero movies? 

During the peak of Arnold’s career, he did a movie named Batman and Robin in 1997. That was the last time Arnold was seen as a superhero in a movie. Since then, his fans have been curious about his upcoming action roles. Once Arnold shared his thoughts on doing superhero movies after the 1997’s movie. 

He shared, “I think all of those movies if they’re written well, they’re entertaining. If it’s Batman or Batman and Robin, or X-Men or Spider-Man — all of them. If they’re written well, they have a great life.” Currently, Schwarzenegger is working on his upcoming Netflix project, while Thor is working on preparing for Extraction 2.
