“I Am Very Sorry”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Self Claimed Partner and Millionaire Hollywood Star Pleaded to Maria Shriver for Forgiveness in 2011

In 2011, Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver’s life took a heartbreaking turn. The revelation of Arnold’s affair with his housekeeper Mildred Baena made his love life fizzle. Shriver petitioned for the divorce breaking their 25 years of marriage.

After the split up of Arnold and Shriver, the lady Gigi Goyette Jeffers gave an interview to Extra in 2011. She described her view of Arnold. In addition, she admitted to being intimate with Schwarzenegger and hoped Shriver would forgive her. 

Gigi stated, “I am very sorry for the mistakes I made in the past and for being intimate with your husband, and I would hope that you would forgive me for that.” In another interview, just after the split-up news, Gigi mocked Shriver by calling her a usual Kennedy. She said, “Maria Shriver is a Kennedy, so I think that, like a good Kennedy, she decided to ignore what was happening.”

In addition, Goyette added that she has been in touch with Schwarzenegger since he separated his ways from Maria. The reason Gigi stated behind it was his wonderful personality in the movies. She concluded, “He has this overpowering way with women that you get weak.” For sure, Arnold didn’t expect these outcomes of his separation from Maria.

How Schwarzenegger’s life changed 11 years back

Arnold issued an apology right after his affair with Baena came to light. Schwarzenegger himself went to Shriver and revealed his relationship with their housekeeper. It completely broke Maria’s trust, which she had for 25 years. However, they made their ways separate; they were unaware of the media coverage they would get. The news became significant when the news of his love child with Mildred came out.

At that time, his love child Joseph Baena was a 13-year-old who had no idea what was happening around him. Meanwhile, Maria and the bodybuilder agreed to co-parent their four kids. The former couple did their best to grow their kids together despite the crack in their bond.
