Winning the World’s Strongest man title in 2018, strongman Hafþór Björnsson loves to do tough challenges. Recently, Björnsson told his real thoughts about the 30 seconds cold plunge challenge he took. With this, the strongman also shared a glimpse of a special event he will participate in.

Björnsson made these revelations in an Instagram story on January 25th, 2023. Implying how weary he was while doing the challenge, Björnsson explained why he took these challenges. Earlier, Björnsson had recently announced a competition where he will give 9 challenges in 30 days. The winner of the competition will win a trip for two in Iceland, a chance to train with Björnsson and $5000 cash.

“I do stuff that I don’t wanna do but do it because of the benefits”, Björnsson admitted after completing the cold plunge challenge. This challenge involved jumping in cold water which also had ice. Further, he told, “First time I did the sauna today. I didn’t want to do it but did it for the benefits.”

Björnsson then stated how he did a hot tub after the cold plunge challenge. The strongman admitted that he did this because he liked the experience of a hot tub.

Later, Björnsson posted a picture of the ‘Conquer the Mountain Tournament’ in which he is also participating. This tournament is a video game designed by Sabre games. The makers of this game have collaborated with Björnsson to promote this game and an animated character ‘Mountain’ will be played by Björnsson himself. This tournament will begin in February 2023 where players can battle against ‘Mountain’ in the game. While many fans are excited due to this tournament, several fans are angry with Björnsson for a completely different reason.

Why fans over the world are unhappy with Björnsson

When Björnsson announced the challenge, fans all over the world decided to sign up for the contest. However, some fans were in for a shock for the reason that only individuals from the United States and Canada could take part in the competition. 

Venting their anger on social media, some fans also expressed disappointment that Australia couldn’t participate. Another fan also pointed out an ironic situation. “He is from Iceland yet he makes a challenge only for Americans and Canadians. Nice job Thor.”
