Arnold Schwarzenegger, the biggest action movie star during the 80s in Hollywood, remains booked and busy. The bodybuilding legend celebrated his 75th birthday last week, getting well wishes from all across the world. 

Unfortunately, his busy schedule didn’t grant him the time to celebrate it in peace. Schwarzenegger has been following a pretty hectic schedule thanks to his upcoming Netflix project, and we finally heard from the big-time actor.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is working 12 hours a day

At his sprightly age of 75, Arnold Schwarzenegger will star in an eight-part Netflix series titled FUBAR. Based on the film star’s hit movie True Lies (1994), he will take on the role of a CIA agent in his first scripted television series. Apparently, the shooting underway in Toronto has taken up most of the his time lately.

In the latest issue of Schwarzenegger’s newsletter, titled ‘My Unreasonable Birthday Goals’, he revealed that his hectic schedule hasn’t left him time for much else. “I am shooting almost every day for 12 hours a day, and I am having a great time with a fantastic cast and crew, but I don’t have time for almost anything else,” he wrote.

He explained that this week he found some reprieve from his full schedule. “Since it was my birthday last week, I wanted to do something I haven’t done in a while.” And so, he listed out his New Year’s resolution-esque birthday goals, setting standards for himself and his fans.

FUBAR brings Schwarzenegger’s first step onto scripted television

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first film on the silver screen, titled Hercules of New York, was released in 1970. Since then, he has made over 40 films, the biggest grossing action films of that time, and a name for himself. However, FUBAR will mark the bodybuilder’s attempt at scripted television.

FUBAR stands as an acronym for “F***ed Up Beyond All Repair”, the series originally developed at Skydance Television. The plot follows a father (Schwarzenegger) and his daughter (Monica Barbaro) who uncover each other’s identities as CIA operatives. Their relationship becomes uncertain, and the spy thriller doubles as a family adventure.

Skydance also remains the company responsible for Schwarzenegger’s signature Terminator franchise. Naturally, the fans eagerly await the release of the bodybuilder’s newest project.
