49-year-old Jay Cutler earned his legendary status in the bodybuilding industry with a disciplined diet and workout. The four-time Mr. Olympia’s dietary preferences were as extreme as his bodybuilding regime. In one of his videos from his competition days, the quad stomper revealed his mind-boggling diet plans. A resurfaced video of Jay Cutler gained traction on TikTok, where the bodybuilding beast suggested that food taste did matter to him. All he wanted was to get bigger and better.

In the resurfaced video, Cutler talked about his varied diet choices. The bodybuilder preferred consuming two gallons of Crystal Light beverage. It was known to keep bodybuilders full while they worked out. Apart from this, Cutler revealed that he chugged protein powder by mixing it with Diet Mountain Dew. The bodybuilding beast knew that his diet practices sounded crazy, and expressed, “sometimes you don’t eat for taste”.

He explained that he ate food to fuel his body to work out. “I eat to get big, I don’t care what it tastes like” is what he believed in as a professional bodybuilder. Another shocking food practice of Cutler’s was, he ate burnt egg whites ignoring the awful taste. More so, on his cheat day, he would indulge in a burnt pizza. During his competition days, Cutler consumed seven meals a day and also pop in various calcium, vitamin, and glutamine tablets to pump his body for effective workout sessions.

Moreover, in one of his interviews from last year, the retired bodybuilder revealed the insane amount of proteins he consumed every day.

Jay Cutler consumed 140 eggs a day!
During his competition days, the bodybuilding veteran was on a high-protein diet, involving 350 to 400 grams of protein a day. To add up to that number, he consumed 140 eggs every day. During his interview last year, Cutler explained, ‘‘I’m not going to lie, there was a lot of diets I ate 140 egg whites a day. So I was cracking eggs non-stop.”

This meant that he was consuming 30 eggs in each meal. Despite consuming an unbelievable quantity of eggs, Cutler’s protein requirement needed him to eat four pounds of meat every day which included chicken and steak. In total, the bodybuilding beast consumed 3000 to 4000 calories each day which contained only 1000 grams of carbs. He had divided his meals across his six-seven meals in the post and pre-workout phases of the day. In a nutshell, his diet was as legendary as the man he is today!
