Like any sport, bodybuilding is also challenging, even though the renowned Arnold Schwarzenegger may have made it seem easy. Since the beginning of his career, he had been putting in extremely hard work. However, even more dedication and sacrifice are needed to become a champion bodybuilder.

Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger influenced younger generations who now follow in his footsteps. Ronnie Coleman is one of the greatest bodybuilders who also followed in Arnold’s footsteps. Once, he shared how it felt like standing beside the legendary Austrian Oak.

The huge impact of Arnold Schwarzenegger on Ronnie Coleman

During an interview, he sat with Patrick Bet-David and revealed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legendary status. First, he stated how small he looked beside him, “I look like a little boy standing next to him.” Then he added, “Yeah, yeah, and the technology, he’d have been by far the best thing ever put out on stage.”

Further, he added, “But look at that though ain’t body got done like that no more.” 

The words Ronnie Coleman said showcase him as a true bodybuilder who understands the aspects of the sport. When Coleman was 24, he began bodybuilding and had a natural physique. He began using his full potential after realizing and learning how Arnold Schwarzeneggar had been doing it. Coleman also referred to him as “The King,” despite Coleman making history by becoming just the second person to win eight Mr. Olympia titles, even more than Arnold.

Arnold’s role in shaping the young generation

From time to time, Schwarzenegger has stated some facts that every newcomer bodybuilder should follow. Apart from bodybuilding, Arnold had Hollywood as his career goal. In addition, he landed his first role in the 1970 New York film Hercules. However, he also maintained his sport of bodybuilding while in the limelight of Hollywood, as seen in the documentary called ‘Pumping Iron‘.

The Austrian Oak got the title of the most epic bodybuilder of all time with a huge amount of respect from the bodybuilding community. His masculine physique has even helped him in movies like Terminator. However, his versatility in his career didn’t even stop there. He was also a Governor of California to add to his incredible resume of accomplishments.
