Cuban-American bodybuilder Sergio Oliva was among the prominent names in bodybuilding. Besides defeating the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oliva won 3 Mr. Olympia titles. However, he didn’t want his son to continue his legacy, attributing to past struggles, but it seems like his son, Sergio Oliva Jr., always had his own plans. Oliva Jr. always looked at himself as a bodybuilder. That might be the reason behind his sticking with the plan even after facing hardships in life.

Sergio Oliva Jr. has been working out for years to get a massive and defined physique. Taking inspiration from his father’s dominance, the Cuban athlete emerged to be a new name in the sports fraternity. In fact, after securing 5th place in the 2020 Arnold Classic, expectations from him were high. But following some unfortunate health issues, he had to put a pause on his dreams for some time.

Evidently, Oliva Jr. suffered from nerve damage in 2020 and was distant from social media or competitive events. However, the bodybuilder is now ready to make a comeback as was clear from his recent post. Notably, he took to his Instagram to tease his fans with a picture of him where Oliva stood in front of his mirror and showed off his chiseled body. Along with it, the bodybuilder added a far-sighted message, “If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. Either way Ima be ready.”

After participating in the 2020 Arnold Classic, things suddenly went quiet for Olivia Jr. He was not on TV, at events, or even active on social media, until one day. The maestro once shared how he was suffering the worst pain in his life due to nerve damage in his hand. Although he cited a bizarre reason behind it.

The bodybuilder shared he was having pain in his arms previously, but what increased his pain even more, was him sleeping over his arm. Though it was not from an accident or any serious injury caused, the sudden nerve damage made him see the doctor immediately.
