Of all the characters that Mr. Olympia played, a father’s role was the most special.

The life of Arnold took a complete turn when he held his daughter Katherine for the first time. In an archived interview with talk-show host Oprah, Arnold is seen sharing some solid parenting skills.

Arnold’s parenting advice

Being Hollywood’s favorite action star, people would have expected that television must have been an essential part of the Schwarzenegger family. But this is certainly not the case! The ex-army man has, in fact, laid some ground rules for his kids about watching the box.

Channeling his inner father spirit, Arnie sternly says, “Not make children watch television too much.” He recognizes that making children watch the idiot box is easy; the device catches their attention. But raising concerns about the future, The Terminator star could not help but ask one key question, “What happens tomorrow or six years down the line when they become addicts?” As Arnold further adds, “It backfires!”

Advising parents not to allow their children to watch television too much. Arnold makes a stern point; he adds, “Limit the time of television that is being watched in the house!” The father of five sure does have a valid point. Parents sometimes need to be a little strict with their kids.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, a strict father

Arnold and his ex-wife Maria welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 1989. They eventually welcomed another daughter and two sons together. The Schwarzenegger’s were enjoying their marital bliss until Arnold’s affair with house help took the tabloids by storm.

Describing himself as a father, Arnold says, “I am a strict daddy, but with two girls, it’s rough.” Despite all controversies, Arnold made himself available to his kids. He never compromised on his kid’s happiness. He is also often spotted spending time with Joseph, his fifth son.
