Gym experiment gone wrong

Apart from dedication and resilience, bodybuilding needs precaution. Bodybuilders are trained professionals, and hence they have the skill to do the workouts perfectly. However, this female gym goer, not a pro by any means, wanted to customize her exercise without a trainer, which ultimately led to this dangerous incident.

On March 5, 2023, an Instagram account named The Early Mindset shared a video on their page showing the failure. “She really didn’t see that coming,” the caption read. Evidently, the girl was trying to do calf raises using a Smith Machine and was standing on the brink of a stepper. Everything was going smoothly until she lifted the barbell and started the workout. As per the video, the stepper slipped and the barbell plummeted vigorously, thrashing her into the ground. But fortunately, the barbell got stuck in the Smith Machine, and the woman did not suffer any serious injury.

The bodybuilding world was left in a frenzy and shared their concerns

Crediting the machine, one fan wrote, “Thank God for that Smith Machine. I have seen it save many a life.” Continuing the thread, another wrote, “Thank God For The Stoppers On That Machine.” Seeing her saved by a whisker, one user commented, “Thank God she is okay.” While the pieces of equipment are there for building the body, they can often cause a terrible accident as a follower aptly put it, “I’ve seen it kill people too.”

Sharing the concern, one fan penned, “You know, I could see that happening. That’s crazy. Really unfortunate accident.” Another thought she could use the appropriate equipment as “It’s not a calf machine.”
