Arnold Schwarzenegger made his Hollywood debut with Hercules in New York. He gave blockbusters like Predator, Pumping Iron, True Lies, and Total Recall. But the movie that set him apart from the rest and made him more popular worldwide was Terminator.

The bodybuilder-turned-actor starred in five parts of the movie Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger recently revealed why James Cameron advised him against being a part of Terminator 5. Cameron is a Canadian filmmaker who wrote and directed Terminator.

Cameron cautioned Arnold before signing for Terminator 5

Schwarzenegger’s and Cameron’s first Terminator movie created a huge success that led to the making of sequels for it. Terminator’s fifth film, Terminator Genisys, was released in 2015 but did not involve James Cameron.

Before the shooting for Genisys started, James Cameron believed that the sequel to Terminator should focus more on Arnold’s character. He said, “I told him he should not do it until it’s focused on his character, or he shouldn’t do it.”

Terminator Genisys starred Emilia Clarke alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, who missed out on the fourth part of the movie Terminator Salvation. However, after watching the movie, Cameron praised the direction and the story. He said the film would have come out the same way if he had been a part.

Arnold Schwarzenegger started his journey as a model and a bodybuilder. In 1967, Arnold won his first Mr. Universe Amateur title. Schwarzenegger then made his name by winning six back-to-back Mr. Olympia titles.

His dominance in the bodybuilding industry led people to name a bodybuilding contest after him- The Arnold Sports Festival. The Arnold Sports Festival is the most prominent bodybuilding contest after Mr. Olympia.

Schwarzenegger added another feather to his hat when he won the 2003 election and became the Governor of California. He held his seat for two terms and stayed in the Governor’s office till 2011. After that, Schwarzenegger returned to acting.
