Joseph Baena is the son of the cultural icon, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Just like his father, Baena has embarked on his journey to becoming a bodybuilder and an actor. The one thing he is doing differently from Arnold Schwarzenegger is dancing.

The 25-year-old actor and dancer is paired with Daniella Karagach on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Due to constant dance practices over the recent weeks, Baena has noticed changes in his body. He talked about those changes in a recent interview.

Baena didn’t expect this from dancing

Joseph Baena claimed in the interview that dancing requires much more cardio than he anticipated. Moreover, his dance partner Daniella Karagach constantly pushes him to his limits to get the best out of him. He said, “It’s a lot more core [work]. [Daniella’s] kicking my b*** in the ballroom.”

Baena said, “I feel like I’m getting a little leaner. I’m losing weight, for sure. It’s definitely a change of pace … The body’s changing a little bit.” He also claimed that every night after the dance practices, he is completely swamped by sweat.

Baena’s tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger

Joseph Baena gave a tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger by performing on Hercules’s “A Star Is Born.” In the 1970s, Joseph’s father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, played his first lead role in Hercules. He chose this routine for Monday’s Disney Night performance and called it a “full circle moment.”

Baena revealed that he wanted to surprise his father with this performance on Monday. He claims that his family, especially his father’s side, is not very famous for dancing, and Baena constantly astonishes them.

Baena said that whenever Arnold witnesses his performance, he is astounded and can’t believe how well Baena dances. It’s safe to say that Baena has not only impressed his father with bodybuilding and acting but dancing too.

Joseph Baena is his father’s lookalike, and fans compare them both too often. Baena does not take offense when he is compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He admires him and says it’s amazing being in the same role as his father and being compared to him.
