Mother of Three Becomes Bodybuilding Champion With Backyard Weights

Bodybuilding is a sport that requires a lot of time and effort. Growing muscles might look easy, but it is difficult to do so. From rigorous workout sessions to a nutritious diet, every bodybuilder has to take ultimate care of their body.
For a mother of three, this might seem like an impossible task. However, a 41-year-old mother has gone against all odds to win not just one but ten different bodybuilding titles in a single year. Gwynedd’s Lisa Capper used the Covid-19 lockdown as an advantage to accomplish this height.

Lisa Capper’s strong comeback in bodybuilding
Lisa Capper, who comes from Bangor, Gwynedd, began her bodybuilding journey in 2018 after meeting her coach Derek Jones, also a bodybuilder. Capper had also taken part in a couple of bodybuilding competitions but failed to impress the critics back then.

However, when the Covid-19 locked restrictions were stated in Gwynedd, the female bodybuilder took advantage of the quarantine. Capper decided to train at her home, and as soon as the lockdown got lifted, she shed more weight in the gym.
Talking about the journey with Dailypost UK, Capper revealed, “It has taken a lot of dedication. I was getting up at six to train, going to work, trying to get 10,000 steps in a day, and doing cardio, as well as training in the evenings. It was worth it, but it can be grueling, especially when you throw the kids into the mix as well.”
In just a year, the mother of three has gone on to win ten bodybuilding titles. But Capper is not going to stop here. Talking about her future competitions, she said, “I have also qualified for NAC worlds next year, the NABBA British finals next year, and the IBFA British finals next year.”

The 41-year-old also aims to change her physical structure and grow more muscles. Capper is a true legend. Capper also was thankful for her children and husband, who support her passion and love for the sport.
An inspiring story of another bodybuilder
Blanka Harvey is a 31-year-old mother of two kids. Due to her pregnancy craving, the bodybuilder had become accustomed to food from McDonald’s and sweet doughnuts. However, Harvey soon realized her mistake and decided to change her diet for the better. She also joined the gym and shed an impressive 70 pounds within a short period.

In 2017, Harvey turn her bodybuilding passion into a professional career and dedicated her time to the sport. Harvey is currently training for World Championships and, like Capper, continues to be a role model for many.
