Milos Sarcev, a former Serbian IFBB Pro bodybuilder, is back in news because of the return of a bodybuilding competition after an 11-year hiatus. The Masters Olympia, last contested in 2012, is all set to take place this year in Romania. Naturally, rumors have been rife about the return of several former bodybuilders, the Serbian IFBB Pro being one of them. However, recently he shut down any such possibility to get back up on stage. His seniority and health risks were the prime reasons for it.
In a recent YouTube interview with Muscular Development, the veteran bodybuilder spoke about the Arnold Classic, his top picks for the competition, and eventually landed on the discussion about Masters Olympia. When confronted if he would be part of it, here was his reaction.

“They asked me if you would compete. Hell no! Why would I push myself to those limits, I know what it took to get there right”, said Milos Sarcev in the YouTube interview. Sarcev, the 59-year-old bodybuilder from former Yugoslavia who got admission to the University of Novi Sad for his love of athletics, was rumored to be participating in the Masters Olympia, where many former all-time greats could be making their way back on stage. However, he is among the few who completely denied such reports. Sarcev believes it could be detrimental to his health at his age.

He said, “Bodybuilders are dying because we use steroids and you know it’s dangerous, but now you want to encourage old men at the age of 50 plus to pushing like back when they were younger because there’s no way no how that anybody that decides to go now on the Masters can cut their cycle in half because now they are wiser”.
Sarcev was calling out the hypocrisy of the media since they always report about bodybuilders putting their health at risk by using steroids. At the same time, they are now publishing reports of pushing former senior bodybuilders to return to the stage, potentially putting their health at risk. Besides the Masters Olympia, another big bodybuilding showdown is going to take place next month, and Sarcev has some opinions on them.
