The bodybuilding world was brought to a standstill this past weekend. Most of the toned, symmetrical and shapely bodies from around the world had congregated in Las Vegas to compete at the most elite competition in their discipline – Mr. Olympia. As is with every Olympia, the fan hype and reactions were always high and everybody had their favorites. It’s already been established that Big Ramy was a fan favorite, but experts too expected him to defend his title. While many fan comments can be hubris, some legitimately zeroed in on his weak triceps. As per critiques, Ramy went in with a weak back, and weaker triceps as compared to last year. And with the raised standards brought in by Nick Walker, Hadi Choopan, and Derek Lunsford, Ramy’s small differences mattered the most to him.

However, despite a couple of shortfalls, Big Ramy did fairly well in the competitions. A total of 212 bodybuilders competed at the events and Ramy came in at 5th position. But the fans are not easy to forgive since Ramy has already set a high standard for himself by winning for the last two years.
