Sondre Berg, a new name in bodyweight strength training

A skateboarder, Berg had a knack for strength training from early childhood. He used to go to the gym, but it soon became a mundane task as the mere bench press and other equipment didn’t pique his interest. Searching for what he could do to increase flexibility, Sondre found a YouTube video that featured the appropriate movement he was looking for.

In the video, a guy was doing human flags, handstand pushups, and other maneuvers with his body. Berg was immediately hypnotized and picked up calisthenics. Then with years of perseverance and determination, Berg became the Norwegian Champion in 2015. After that, by developing his own styles and accumulating them with that of others, he claimed reverence at the sport.

He jokingly wrote, “Is this not how you’re supposed to do it?”
