Recently, he used the platform of an award show to express his gratitude, especially towards the health workers that helped him. Everyone appreciated the kind gesture by the young star. Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s ex-wife and journalist, Maria Shriver, was no different. Maria Shriver took to Twitter to respond to a tweet about Damar Hamlin.

Hamlin recently made a surprise appearance at the NFLPA Alan Page Community Award. He took the stage along with the health workers who saved his life. Thereafter, he spoke about his journey and thanked God for saving him from the unexpected situation. Moreover, he expressed his gratitude to the health workers that attended to him.

Maria Shriver praises Damar Hamlin

On 11th February 2023, a video from the recent NFL Players Association’s Alan Page Community Award went viral. The clip showed the NFL player, who suffered a cardiac arrest mid-game last month, back to good health. Hamlin walked on stage while the audience cheered for him and gave him a standing ovation. Appreciating his gratefulness, the American royalty, Maria Shriver commented, “I love this and love #DamarHamlin giving credit to them! Bravo 👏.”

Shriver’s comment was a response to the original video tweet shared by author M. M. Padellan. Sharing the clip from the event, the Brooklyn Dad Defiant wrote, “AMAZING to see Damar Hamlin recovered, up there with the medical professionals that saved his life. The feel good story I needed today.🥹♥️”

Damar Hamlin won the battle against death

Damar Hamlin, who plays for the Buffalo Bills suffered a cardiac arrest on January 2. The incident occurred during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was when Hamlin received a heavy blow on his chest while trying to tackle a Bengals player. Soon after he received the hit, he fell unconscious to the ground.

It didn’t take long before the medical help arrived. It was concluded that the player suffered a cardiac arrest. When the immediate medical help was unable to revive him, Hamlin was rushed to the hospital. The incident left the entire sports fraternity shocked and disheartened. People from all across the globe were praying for his life as doctors announced that he was in critical condition.
